Blank Shapes
Feminine and interesting. You can use individually or layer. Photos of examples are shown.
Blank Shapes are made of Unisub FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), sublimatable on both sides, matte finish (Matte according to Unisub, but I think the finish is more of a lovely low sheen.) I cut each shape here at Orange Poppy Studio. This material can be cut with a jeweler's saw. You will also receive a paper template of each shape. I find templates to be extremely useful in positioning the blank shape on the sublimation print. See the Quick Start Tutorial on YouTube at the Shelley Nordman-Orange Poppy Studio Channel.
Sublimation Specifications: 400 degrees F, 75 seconds, using medium pressure.
To sublimate you also need:
400 Degrees F Heat Source: heat press, Hot to Trot Travel Iron, etc. Most inexpensive craft irons do not get hot enough, topping out at 320 degrees F.
Sublimation Prints: Designs printed with sublimation ink on sublimation paper with a sublimation printer, available here at Orange Poppy Studio, from other retailers, and products marked "Infusible Ink" pages, markers, and pens. Dye sublimation ink and paint are available from Artesprix.
